Software Product Technology Manager | Opensource Software & Hardware


A world-leading technology company is hiring a Software Product Technology Manager to define and prioritize requirements for software enablement and optimization and to develop strategies to deliver within the company's vast software eco-system.


What are we looking for?

Someone to be responsible for the roadmap and vision for our software development, configuration, optimization, plus productization and delivery activities. you will help to develop strategies around new and existing software components to support proprietary products.


Key responsibilities:

  • Evaluate the complete value chain of end customers, manufacturers, and designers of hardware, software, and systems. This includes productization, support and quality assurance relating to what we deliver to those customers.
  • Gather specific market segment needs and translate these into product plans.
  • Work with internal engineering teams and Software vendors to prioritize features and enhancements meeting customer needs.
  • Perform competitive analysis to identify the strengths and weaknesses of Arm-based solutions versus the competition.
  • Evangelize in open-source communities and enthuse our customers and sales forces with the software offering by participating in customer meetings and training.


Required Skills and Experience:

  • Software Requirements: Proven ability to create, manage, and validate software requirements, especially within a product delivery context.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members, customers, and suppliers, and drive strategic planning.
  • Software Development: Strong software development experience, including firmware, operating systems, or application development.
  • Self-motivation: Ability to work independently while remaining an integral part of both local and global development teams.
  • International Travel: Willingness and comfort with up to 25% international travel.


'Nice To Have' Skills and Experience:

  • Software Development Lifecycle: A deep understanding of the full open-source software development lifecycle, including non-functional requirements, integration targets, and the components of a typical software stack.
  • Product Development: Experience in the entire product development and delivery lifecycle.
  • Technical Product Management or Technology Marketing: Proven experience in technical product management or technology marketing roles.
  • Hardware-Software Integration: Familiarity with environments where hardware is designed and proof-of-concept software is built to verify its functionality.
  • Requirements Definition: Expertise in defining requirements that align with quality and optimization goals.
  • Non-Functional Areas: Experience working in non-functional areas such as performance optimization and functional safety.
