Job Description: Research and Development Scientist (Packaging Development)

Role:

A global pharmaceutical company which specialises in drug discovery and new drug product development for a range of therapeutics is actively seeking a packaging development scientist.

The suitable packaging development scientist will collaborate with multiple teams to develop and test packaging integrity. If you are actively looking to develop a career as a materials / packaging development scientist at a pharmaceutical industry leader then this might just be for you.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Test blister materials to optimize running parameters and compare with existing data.
  • Assess blisters for push-through, wall thickness, pocket depth, seal integrity, and appearance.
  • Perform Texture and Extrusion analysis to assess the suitability of solid and liquid drug products for a consumer
  • Develop processes for efficient bulk pack analysis
  • Moisture modelling
  • Support project teams with technical and practical packaging insights.
  • Build a comprehensive database compiled of testing data to be used for overall statistical analysis of a drug product.
  • Author technical documents for drug product packaging
Qualifications:
  • B.S./M.S. degree in a life science
  • 1-3 years in Materials testing / packaging development
  • Packaging development experience in the pharmaceutical industry. (Advantageous)
