Data Engineering Manager - AWS, Python, SQL - Sporting Predictions

Our client is a cutting-edge Tech firm that uses Analytics and AI to predict the outcome of sporting events. They are a market leader in the Sports Betting sector.

A rare opportunity has arisen to join as a Data Engineering Manager. This person will lead a small, but very high calibre, team of Data Engineers in designing, developing and maintaining the firm’s data infrastructure. This role ensures the reliable and efficient processing of data to enable data-driven decision making across the firm. The manager will also collaborate with other leaders in cross-functional teams to implement best practices and innovative data solutions.

This role will be 60-70% focussed on management of the team, so the ability to lead a team whilst fostering a positive and productive work environment is crucial. This person will also need expert level knowledge of end-to-end data engineering processes, and mastery in designing and implementing scalable solutions.

From a tech perspective, the team uses the following; Python, SQL, AWS, Docker, Redshift, Kafka, Airflow, S3. Deep experience in Python, SQL and AWS is mandatory for this role.
