Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 16:00)

About the Role: We are currently seeking a skilled and versatile General Building Engineer to join Royal Mail's busy team. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual experienced in fabric-type works, external yard works, and general building trades.
In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks including joinery, locksmith work, and other general building maintenance duties. You will play a key role in maintaining and improving the physical structure of our facility, both indoors and outdoors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carrying out external yard works and general building fabric maintenance.
• Performing joinery tasks, including repairs and installations.
• Completing locksmith-related duties such as lock repairs and replacements.
• Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard, following health and safety protocols.
• Collaborating with other tradespeople and team members to complete tasks efficiently.

What We’re Looking For:

• Qualifications: NVQ Level 2 or 3 in a relevant trade (Joinery, General Building, Locksmithing, etc.) is desirable.
• Experience: Proven experience in a similar role with knowledge of general building and maintenance trades.
• Driving License: A valid driver’s license is essential as the role may require travel between sites.
