SEDA Maritime Support

Salary: 52,000 - 62,000
Join our clients experienced team providing vital SATCOM technical support to the Maritime In-Service Team on behalf of the SATCOM Engineering Design Authority (SEDA). This role is a key component of a major public sector procurement for the high-profile Skynet 6 Category A programme. We offer a permanent position, with fixed-term contracts also considered.
What you will be doing in SEDA Maritime Support:
- Providing SATCOM technical support to the Maritime In-Service Team, focusing on:
- Networking and Baseband systems
- Radio Frequency (RF) Antenna and Propagation systems
- Modem systems
- Ensuring technical impacts and risks to project delivery are clearly communicated by working closely with the Maritime In-Service Team Project Managers.
- Acting as the main point of coordination and communication between the Maritime In-Service and SEDA Teams.
What you require as SEDA Maritime Support:
Essential:
- Strong knowledge of Satellite Communication Systems.
- Extensive experience in the design and development of SATCOM systems, with a solid understanding of protocols, standards, system integration, and testing.
- Excellent Stakeholder Management and communication skills, with the ability to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Desirable:
- UK Developed Vetting (DV) Clearance.
- Expertise in Military Communications Satellite Systems, particularly in the Maritime domain.
- Familiarity with MOD ways of working, including KiD and GEAR.
- Knowledge of the full Systems Engineering lifecycle (e.g., INCOSE, ISO/IEC 15288).
- Experience in Integration, Testing, and Acceptance of systems into service within the Maritime domain
