Damp, Mould & Disrepair Surveyor
Goodman Masson are working with a Housing Association in the South East/East of England to recruit for a Damp, Mould & Disrepair Surveyor.
Rate: £300-£350 per day (depending on experience)
Duration: 6 months + (temp-to-perm)
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Conducting thorough inspections of properties to identify issues related to damp, mould, and disrepair
- Diagnose the root causes of damp and mould, such as leaks, poor ventilation, or insulation problems
- Produce detailed reports outlining findings and recommended repairs
- Work closely with the maintenance team to ensure timely and effective repairs are carried out
- Communicate with tenants, addressing their concerns and keeping them informed throughout the repair process
The successful candidate will have:
- Previous experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of building structures and common causes of damp and mould
- Excellent communication skills to liaise with tenants and internal teams
- A keen eye for detail and a methodical approach to inspections and reporting
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to housing conditions
- Ability to work independently and manage a caseload efficiently
