One of the largest and most successful architecture practices in the UK is seeking an experienced and dynamic Associate Director to support the business development of its established Commercial team. The practice is renowned for its work on bespoke projects, including high-end luxury residential, mixed-use, and hotel projects. As the firm grows its commercial presence, this role presents an exciting opportunity to join a highly successful team working predominantly on UK-based projects.


The focus of this role will be new build offices working with large developers in London and the UK. Please only apply if you have a background in architecture or construction.


As Associate Director, the successful candidate will shape the future of the practice’s commercial portfolio, focusing on client relationship management, business growth, and strategic partnerships. This role will involve working closely with senior leadership to implement a business development strategy and overseeing a talented team to deliver high-quality results.


Key responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a strategic business development plan to grow the practice’s presence in the commercial offices sector
  • Lead and manage the commercial team, ensuring successful project delivery
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, stakeholders, and industry partners.
  • Collaborate with design teams on pitches and proposals
  • Represent the practice at industry events and drive networking efforts


Requirements:

  • At least 10 years post-qualification experience, with a proven track record in business development within architecture or construction
  • Experience leading and managing teams with excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Strong strategic vision with the ability to identify and capitalise on new business opportunities.
  • A well-established network of contacts in the UK commercial property market
  • The right to live and work in the UK
