Transport Planner

Transport Planner Derby Up to £21.65/hr Inside IR35 - 6 month initial contract.

A Transport/Shipping Planner opportunity has become available for a a world leader in construction and mining equipment.

The Transport Planner will join a key operational team, responsible for planning and management of Global Customer Shipments. Full training in line with global export regulations will be given to the right candidate. This role would suit a highly motivated and organised individual who is flexible and has meticulous attention to detail. Team working is a must.

As Transport Planner you will have end to end responsibility of planning and shipping of Customer orders to a global network of Distribution and OEM Partners. Liaising with various internal departments, to include Customer Services, Warehouse, Transportation, and external Customers.

Liaising with Customers and Carriers to arrange and ensure time sensitive bookings are adhered to. To facilitate the freight invoice process in line with various carrier invoices through to payment. Managing and highlighting exceptions through to resolution.

Essential Skills:

• Ability to use own initiative and resolve problems
• Organisational and administration skills
• Able to contribute positively within a team environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Must demonstrate thorough levels of attention to detail when working in a pressurised environment

Preferred Skills:

• Demonstrated experience of using SAP.
• Export Regulation Knowledge
• Customs Warehouse Experience

You'll receive an excellent contract per-hour rate of £21.65/hr in return for your knowledge, expertise and flexibility. 6 month initial contract.
