Residential Support Worker
Location: Sheffield
Salary: £85 - £100 per day
Start Date: ASAP

GSL Education are currently seeking a Residential Support Worker to join a supportive school in Sheffield. This role provides a fantastic opportunity to work closely with children and young people, offering care and guidance in a residential setting.

Responsibilities of a Residential Support Worker:

• Provide day-to-day care and support to students in a residential environment.
• Help maintain a safe, supportive, and inclusive atmosphere.
• Assist with personal development and emotional well-being.
• Work closely with other staff to ensure consistent support for the students.
• Monitor and support students' daily routines, including meal times and activities.
• Ensure safeguarding procedures are followed at all times.

Requirements for a Residential Support Worker:

• Previous experience in a similar role, ideally in a school or residential setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing situations.
• A passion for supporting children and young people with special needs or behavioural challenges.
• Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection policies.
• A valid Enhanced DBS registered on the update service (or be willing to obtain one).
