Automotive Interiors Engineer

One of the world’s largest automotive OEM's, is currently recruiting for an Automotive Interiors Development Engineer, ideally with experience in Door, Headliner, Luggage Trim or Console, with an understanding of Design and idea generation. Based in Bedfordshire, you will be part of an enthusiastic team of Development Engineers, on a contract basis

Responsibilities of the Automotive Interiors Engineer include:

• Development of Automotive Interiors

• Preparation of detailed reports

• Lead concern investigations

• Manage suppliers

• Communicate cross-functionally with key stakeholders including Styling, Product Planning, Purchase & other Design Sections

• Lifecycle cost management

• Competitor and internal benchmarking

Background and Experience required for the Automotive Interiors Engineer position:

• Ideally degree educated in a relevant design / engineering qualification

• Previous automotive Interiors development experience

• Knowledge of interior cabin parts / modules

• Cost breakdown analysis skills

• Understanding of manufacturing processes

• Good Communication & Reporting Skills

• Competent in CAD interrogation

• Proficient in Microsoft office skills

You will hold a valid driving licence and have the capability to travel globally.
