CAD Engineer

Due to continued expansion and growth an excellent opportunity has arisen to join the team at Airedale in Consett. Ideally you will have experience in the air handling unit sector creating manufacturing drawings in SolidWorks and AutoCAD, be self-driven and hardworking. This role reports into the Engineering Manager.

The Role

Responsibilities for this role include:

• Creating manufacturing drawings in SolidWorks and AutoCAD applications from engineering information provided by the design team.
• Working with the Contracts & Production departments to ensure all critical manufacturing requirements are captured within the CAD drawings.
• Carrying out design QA checks on manufacturing drawings.
• Supporting the business with any additional CAD requirements.
• To be expected to adapt to the many diverse drawing possibilities within the CAD engineer role.
• To work closely with the Contracts and Production Departments.

Skills/Experience

• Experience of working with AutoCAD & Solidworks is essential.
• Knowledge and experience of Microsoft IT systems.
• Ability to use own initiative.
• Logical and methodical approach to problem solving.
• Have good written & communication skills.
• Team player.

Desirable skills & experience:

• Have experience within the air handling unit sector.
• Experience of Revit drawing applications & RADAN CAD CAM software.
• Educated in engineering to degree level.
