Location: Northampton (Hybrid – 2 days a week in the office)

Salary: £50,000 - £70,000 per annum

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager at the Assistant Vice President (AVP) level to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for driving the successful delivery of complex technology projects across the business. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams, managing the full project lifecycle from initiation to completion, ensuring that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest standards.

As part of our hybrid working model, you will spend 2 days a week in our Northampton office, with the flexibility to work remotely for the remainder of the week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage end-to-end delivery of technology projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams, stakeholders, and senior management to define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
  • Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets, and monitor progress to ensure project milestones are met.
  • Identify and manage risks, issues, and dependencies throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Lead regular project status meetings, providing updates to stakeholders and ensuring clear communication across all levels.
  • Oversee resource allocation, ensuring optimal team performance and effective use of project tools.
  • Drive continuous improvement, implementing lessons learned and best practices in project delivery.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience in technical project management, ideally within financial services or a technology-driven environment.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, or a hybrid approach).
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and manage cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in project management tools such as JIRA, MS Project, or Confluence.
  • Experience managing projects related to infrastructure, software development, or system integrations.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to thrive in a hybrid work environment, with a willingness to be on-site in Northampton 2 days a week.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, or similar).
  • Experience in financial services or banking technology.

What We Offer:

  • Competitive salary ranging from £50,000 - £70,000 + 20% bonus
  • Comprehensive benefits package including pension, health insurance, and performance-based bonuses.
  • Hybrid working model – flexible work arrangements with 2 days in the Northampton office.
  • Opportunities for professional growth and development within a leading global bank.

If you’re a driven and skilled Technical Project Manager looking for your next challenge, we’d love to hear from you. Apply today and be part of a collaborative team that drives impactful technology projects at a leading financial institution.
