About the Job

We require a self-motivated, business development, technically biased individual to join our professional Sales Team to develop and maintain my clients business in Northern England, Scotland, Northern Ireland, and Ireland. Reporting into the Sales and Marketing Manager, the responsibilities of the role include:

- Field Based (ideally based in Lancashire, Cheshire, Greater Manchester or West Yorkshire, close to central part of M62 corridor).

• Seek opportunities to provide technical and commercial support to new and existing customers including site audits and customer training.
• Identify, monitor and liaise with new and existing customers to build and maintain effective relationships.
• Research and develop opportunities to grow new business.
• Prepare sales forecasts and monthly reports to monitor sales performance.
• Provide customer, competitor, and marketing data with the aim to grow turnover, volume, and profitability.
• Assist in developing and executing the company’s Sales & Marketing Strategy and Group Accounts
• Identify and manage threats and opportunities

Requirements / Experience / Skills

This is an active and demanding position within the Company calling for multiple disciplines, including.

• IT literate (Microsoft Office)
• Full UK Drivers Licence (Essential)
• Happy for extensive travel and overnight stays

Previous experience of working in an external technical sales role within the manufacturing arena would be advantageous.
