Fire Safety Officer
Goodman Masson are working with a Housing Association in Cambridgeshire to recruit for an interim Fire Safety Officer.
Rate: £400-£500 per day (negotiable, depending on experience)
Duration: 6 months +
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Conducting regular full fire risk assessments across the housing portfolio (including several high-rise buildings), ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and best practices
- Developing, implementing, and monitoring fire safety policies and procedures
- Providing expert advice and guidance to staff and residents on fire safety matters
- Coordinating and overseeing fire safety training and drills for employees and residents
- Liaising with external agencies, including fire services, to ensure effective fire safety management
- Investigating fire incidents and implementing corrective actions to prevent reoccurrences
- Keeping up-to-date with changes in fire safety legislation and standards
The successful candidate will have:
- Proven experience in fire safety, preferably within social housing
- Relevant fire safety qualifications (e.g., NEBOSH Fire Certificate, Level 3 Fire Safety Certificate)
- Comprehensive understanding of fire safety legislation, regulations, and best practices
