Design Manager – Bristol – Permanent Role

A company we are working with in Bristol is looking for a Design Manager to join their team on a permanent basis.
What can they offer you?
- Salary: £75,000 - £90,000 depending on experience

What skills do you need to have?
- Previous experience as an Electrical Engineer
- Able to manage multiple design projects and prioritise deadlines
- Transmission and distribution design manager experience
- Worked on HV design 11kV – 132kV in electrical or utilities industry
- A broad experience in design using multiple software tools e.g., CAD
What will your role involve?
- Managing and supporting a team of CAD technicians and the team of Electrical Design Engineers
- Prepare design packages for DNO contestable works from 11kV to 132kV and designs for electrical balance plant works from 11kV to 132kV
- Ensure all designs are safe and compliant with CDM and Health and Safety regulations
- Managing delivery designs
- Producing standards for technical specifications for primary equipment and protection and control equipment
