Job Title: Philanthropy and Partnerships Manager

Charity: RSPCA Northamptonshire

Salary Range: circa £35,000

Contract: Full-time

Location: Fully remote or hybrid option working from either of our sites in Daventry or Rushden. Access and willingness to travel throughout Northamptonshire and surrounding area.

About Us

RSPCA Northamptonshire is a local branch of the RSPCA, independently run and funded, charity number 205377. The branch was founded in 1964 and has gone from strength to strength, developing an excellent reputation over the last 6 decades throughout Northamptonshire.

As we celebrate our 60th anniversary, supporting animals signed over to our care, assessing their needs and successfully rehabilitating them before finding their forever homes, remains a key part of our work.

However, the world has changed, the challenges faced by pets and their owners have become increasingly complex and far more widespread. We are faced with new challenges, the cost-of-living crisis is posing the biggest threat to animals we have seen in our 60-year history as an animal welfare charity. The soaring costs of feeding, vet’s bills and insurance means many families feel they have no choice but to give up their pets.

Our existing Building, Hope Cattery at Brixworth can house 20 cats, there are no facilities for dogs, rabbits, or other small animals. We have a limited number of wonderful volunteer foster carers, and some access to private paid boarding kennels, but availability and capacity is an issue.

The purchase of a new kennels site will establish a flagship animal welfare centre for Northamptonshire, enabling RSPCA Northamptonshire to deliver the highest standards of modern care and services for the growing number of animals and pet owners who need support. The new site will provide new boarding kennels for dogs as well as expansion of the cattery and provision of space for rabbits and small animals.

Based on one site, the services we offer will be more accessible to those that need them, we will be better able to respond to calls for help and more proactive in our preventative animal welfare work through the community welfare hub. Early intervention to support pet owners and help them avoid difficulties later on.

You have an amazing opportunity to be part of protecting animals in Northamptonshire and beyond.
