Purpose of the role

The Fire Extinguisher Engineer will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and inspection of all types of fire extinguishers in compliance with UK safety regulations. This role requires a thorough understanding of fire safety protocols and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities (but not limited to):
  • Install, inspect, and maintain all types of fire extinguishers at client sites across the UK.
  • Conduct routine checks and assessments to ensure equipment functionality and compliance with safety standards.
  • Perform repairs and replacements of fire extinguisher components as needed.
  • Keep accurate records of service visits, inspections, and maintenance activities using inhouse software.
  • Completing waste transfer notes with relevant details.
  • Provide technical guidance and advice to clients on fire safety practices.
  • Stay informed about updates to fire safety regulations and industry best practices.
  • Valid driving license and willingness to travel to client locations.
Requirements
  • Relevant technical qualification in fire safety or engineering.
  • Proven experience in installing and maintaining fire extinguishers.
  • In-depth knowledge of UK fire safety regulations and standards.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • To be computer literate.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Fire Industry Association (FIA) certification or BAFE Fire Extinguisher Maintenance qualification.
  • Previous experience in a similar role within the fire safety industry.
