Role Overview:
Responsible for safeguarding children and vulnerable individuals, managing concerns, ensuring policy compliance, and maintaining accurate records. Collaborates with staff, parents, and external agencies to create a safe environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage safeguarding cases and ensure compliance with legislation.
- Provide training and workshops on safeguarding for staff, students, and parents.
- Update and enforce safeguarding policies.
- Liaise with external agencies and attend multi-agency meetings.
- Conduct risk assessments and ensure timely reporting of concerns.
Qualifications & Relevant Experience:
- Safeguarding Expertise: Extensive experience in safeguarding or child protection roles.
- Legal Knowledge: Familiarity with safeguarding laws and best practices.
- Certification: Relevant qualifications, e.g., Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL).
- Communication Skills: Strong ability to liaise with students, parents, and agencies.
- Confidentiality: Proven ability to manage sensitive information and conduct risk assessments.
