Our client, a multinational business advisory firm, is looking for an experienced Managing Director to support their Financial Services team on a 12 month Fixed Term Contract. Our client is a globally recognised and acclaimed business and works with several exciting clients varying from household names to exciting start up and scale ups, in sub sectors from Investment Management to FinTech and Insurance.
Role
- Collaborate with senior team members to own and manage client relationships while creatively crafting and executing client programs.
- Offer strategic counsel to a diverse client portfolio, oversee daily account management, and foster strong, lasting client relationships.
- Develop and implement integrated campaigns for various stakeholder audiences, partnering with digital, public affairs, ESG, and employee engagement experts within the firm.
- Create planning documents targeting multiple stakeholders through media channels, with a preference for multi-channel campaign experience.
- Assist with issues management by drafting communication materials alongside senior team members.
- Spearhead the development and delivery of research and thought leadership proposals aimed at B2B and D2C audiences.
- Leverage deep sector knowledge and established journalist contacts in the investment sector, with a particular focus on ESG expertise.
- Take a highly proactive approach to acquiring new clients and expanding current mandates, with opportunities to further commercialise sub-sectors in the investment space.
- Actively network with media, industry contacts, and potential clients to build relationships.
- Lead pitch proposals, including drafting RFPs, presenting to clients, and negotiating fees.
- Mentor and coach junior team members, supporting their professional growth through ongoing training.
- Work closely with senior management to implement and refine team processes, regularly contributing ideas for process improvements.
- Share industry knowledge and media insights with the team, utilising journalist contacts and staying well-informed through daily news reading.
Requirements
- Background in Financial Services and related industries, particularly in corporate communications for investments and fintech.
- Experience in corporate communications, either in-house or in a PR agency setting.
- Strong expertise in media relations.
- Skilled at building rapport and relationships with colleagues across the business and within client organisations.
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in a dynamic, busy team.
- Well-established media connections in the Financial Services industry.
