NetSuite ERP - Test Lead - Interim Outside IR35 - Hybrid or Remote but UK Based.
You must have Oracle NetSuite experience to be suitable for this work. This work is part of an acquisition and ERP carveout. Moving from a bespoke in house ERP to Oracle NetSuite.
The ERP Test Lead is primarily responsible for actively participating in the Test planning and test execution of the ERP application.
The Test Lead should have a thorough understanding of the overall goals of the implementation and be able to make and/or act upon most implementation decisions, in cooperation with the appropriate business unit representatives (Business Analysts). This role will be responsible for all testing tasks in relation to the ERP system and associated integrated system.
Key Responsibilities
Tasks include but are not limited to:
- Review and analyse the project requirements Plan, organize and lead the testing
- Scope the required tests
- Design the required test strategy in line with the scope and organisation standards. Create the software test plan, get it reviewed and approved/ signed-off by the relevant stakeholders
- Estimate the test effort and team (size, skills, attitude, and schedule)
- Create the test schedule (tasks, dependencies and assigned team members)
- Identify the training requirements for testing [UAT]
- Identify any test metrics to be gathered
- Review the test cases and test data generated and get owners to address the review comments
- Track the new/ updated requirements in the project and modify testing artefacts accordingly
- Administer the project in a test management system
- Administer the Application under test (e.g., add users for the tests), as required
- Assign tasks to the project team based on the test plan
- Check the status of each assigned task daily and resolve any issues faced by the team members with their tasks
- Re-assign the testing tasks, as required
- Track the assigned tasks with respect to the software test plan and the project schedule
- Review defect report and assign valid defects to the relevant team. Ensure the resolved defects are re-tested
- Consolidate and report test results to the concerned stakeholders
- Update the test plan, as required
- Ensure that the test cases are updated by the project team, as required
- Report the status to the stakeholders (e.g., the client, project manager/ test manager and the management)
- Improve the test process based on the suggestions by others and own judgment
