Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head Chef in managing all kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality, presentation, and service.
- Supervise and train junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Contribute to menu development, incorporating fresh, seasonal ingredients and creative flair.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety, hygiene, and food safety regulations.
- Oversee stock control, ordering, and waste management to optimize kitchen efficiency.
- Step in for the Head Chef in their absence, taking full responsibility for kitchen operations.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef, preferably in a busy, high-quality restaurant or hotel.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to work under pressure.
- Passion for food and creativity in the kitchen, with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
- Sound knowledge of food safety, health, and hygiene standards (Level 2/3 Food Safety qualification preferred).
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
